What happened to the E-bike? When I got the e-bike at the end of July the battery mount was attached to the frame with screws that were too short. So upon delivery, the battery and the mount were hanging under the frame. During the first test ride, the whole thing came loose and it fell to the ground. After that, for over two months with longer screws, no problems. But mid-October, there were frequent power outages on two consecutive rides. So, we sent the e-bike back to Bangkok for a checkup. They returned the battery to the factory and there was a lot of damage. On Thursday 20 November, after four weeks and 1 day, I got the bike back !!!

Visit, Benz, bike and more…
On Saturday evening 15 November with picked-up my brother Paul and his wife Anja from the Udon Thani Airport, they arrived that morning in Thailand from The Netherlands. They stayed until Tuesday 18 with us in the house and we did together a trip. On Sunday we went for lunch in a Restaurant nearby and after the lunch we drove 180 km to Nakhon Phanom on the bank of the Mekong River. In the evening we went to the night market and had dinner in a nice restaurant. Monday after breakfast we drove 200 km to Phu Sing, the ”3 Whale Rocks” where we did the 4-Wheeldrive tour. Lunch was also there and a about 120 km drive brought us back home and dinner was is a restaurant at a resort. Tuesday in early morning, Paul & Anja flew back to Bangkok and in the late afternoon they flew, with a stop in Sidney, to New Sealand.
After his return to Thailand Benz had to think about his future and it was already clear that he wanted to drive a pick-up for delivery. Benz found a company where he could get a job if he would have a car. On my advice we looked for a new car and not for a secondhand (secondhand cars are too expensive in Thailand). But for a new car Benz needed help with a loan and the down payment… so, Siripron and I offered to help him and on 20 November Benz got a new (old model) dark grey Toyota Hilux.

The second part of November is always rice harvest time. At the rice field of Siripron they cut the plants by hand and after that it had to dry. In the weekend of 21 and 22 November the machine came for threshing the rice and fill the bags. We’ve got only 25 bags of rice, many plants died because of the too much rain.
Other things that happened:
– We cleaned the concrete around the with a high pressure pump.
– I received my income statement from the Embassy for my Visa extension.
– We did a simple Loy Krathon behind the Temple of Ban Pho Chai.
– Because of winter time and no rain I had to mow the grass less.
– I am preparing forms for my Dutch Taxes discount.
– Lunch at the German restaurant with Rudi and I ordered my Xmas extra’s.
– Siripron had some early days at her work and had to do her own overtime.
