After the Farang lunch, a little late, Siripron and I drove 150 km to the charming city of Chiang Khan, were we booked another hotel than in 2019. Because we were late, we rested a little in our room and after that we walked the market and found a restaurant for dinner. We didn’t eat much because we were still full from the lunch.
The next morning, after a breakfast a little far from the hotel, we drove about 25 km to the Chiang Khan Skywalk. We paid 120 THB for a short ride, in a shared pick-up, up the mountain, Siripron prayed at the tall Buddha statue and we walked around on the mainly glass Skywalk. Driving home we decided to follow the same route as yesterday and not do the slower road along the sides of the Mekong river to Nong Khai, because at home Chok Dee was missing us and he didn’t want to go out of his cage.

Farangs, Chiang Khan and more…
On Saturday 22 August we had a lunch with our “Farang group”. Christiaan had his Birthday and he celebrated it with a lunch at Chato restaurant in Nong Bua Lamphu (130 km from our home). As a present for Christiaan we bought, on his request, dark chocolate, a part at our Lotus and the second part at the Makro of Nong Bua Lamphu. It was good to be together again and we had a great time in a too cold restaurant.

For the virtual challenges I finished Madagascar, Mississippi and the Hawaiian Islands. I’m now doing longer ones that will take months of steps/walking and cycling. Only at the end of coming month there will be 2 special virtual challenges (25 years LOTR). For the building blocks the main “project” was the “Death Star” from “Star Wars” and that took me about 1 month te build the 9.000+ pieces. The last few days I could build 3 smaller ones.
At home it’s a little bit busier than before, Benz & Fern sleep now every night here because family of Fern came home from Bangkok. At the of this month Both also came home for a holiday of about 1 month because the clinic, were he works, is renovated and therefor closed. At the same time, for another reason, Both has to find a new room in Bangkok and that is smarter to do when the clinic re-opens.
Other things that happened:
– We had our septic cleaned, because of the many water in it from the rain.
– Siripron had some beauty days: nail, hair and tattoo eyebrows.
– I’ve ordered a keyboard with Lazada and I will practice the coming months.
– On 11 August I went to Kham Ta Kla for lunch and shopping.
– At Honda we paid our car insurance for the coming year.
– Siripron was busy on the rice field and had to do her overtime herself.
– Siripron had to help with 2 Annemai health run/walks in the villages nearby.
