Building finished, Taxes and more…

At the beginning of March, the building of the lower part of the kitchen was finished and after that the electric, connected to a new electric group, was done by special workers. Our 2 workers came back to hang the ordered kitchen cabinets, the drying racks and the wooden elephant wall ornament. On 15 March we ordered our new dining table with 6 chairs and also a new wardrobe closet. In the meantime, brother Arun made 2 flower beds, one near by the new carport and one at the end of the eating/sitting area. After many cleaning and hanging some smaller thing we moved on Saturday 22 March the “cooking” fridge and the gas tank for cooking.

March is the time to do Taxes in the Netherlands and in Thailand. The Dutch Taxes were, like every year simple, I’ve already paid taxes over my government pension (AOW) and I don’t have to pay taxes over my 2 private pensions. For Thai taxes I had 3 prepared calculations, because the new rules were not clear. At the Revenue Office in Sawang Daen Din they accepted my first calculation, which I did the same as the year before, and after checking I had to pay 2.951 THB (about EUR 80) over 2024.

For the Virtual challenges I biked and walked in China (the long version of the Silk Road), Japan (the island of Hokkaido), part 1 of “The Hobbit” (the long version of “The Unexpected Journey”) and of course the year challenge (Conqueror 2025). In March I finished Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and USA (the Appalachian Trail). On another username I’ve started for the 2nd time the “Camino de Santiago” but now only by walking/steps. This is my 100th virtual challenge with “the Conqueror Challenges” after starting in December 2020.

After almost 100 days the family decided to do a “Temple Remember service” for not only Papa, but also for Mamma and older brother Narong. So, on Friday 21 Siripron and others cooked special food for the next morning. Saturday morning most of the family member where at the Temple service and with the remember list the 3 names where mentioned. After the Temple service the family joined the Temple breakfast but I went home to have my normal breakfast, so I was not on the photo.
