Sakon, Dutch Taxes, Udon Thani and more…

On 3 February I had to go again to Immigration at Sakon Nakhon because a missing thing in my passport and within 1 minute I was standing outside again. So, after that I did some shopping at the Robinson shopping mall (cherries & small tomato’s) and got a few things for lunch. The way back was a special D-tour for 2 Geocaches, the first nearby Phanna Nikhon and the second one north-east of Wanon Niwat.

The last 2 months of 2025 we were busy to get and send the papers for not paying Dutch Taxes over my private pensions. In January 1 private pension was less because of paying taxes but the other one was not taxed. Now in February I’ve got papers from the Dutch government that I don’t have to taxes for both private pensions. And yes, I received my private pension without paying taxes and the first one paid the January taxes back.

On Friday 20 January there was a power outage for a few hours and because we knew it before I went in the morning to Udon Thani for some shopping. My first stop was at a liquor shop where I bought a both of Amaretto, after that I was for the second time with a Geocache at a park in Udon. Next stop was the Central Plaza shopping mall where I bought a few things and lunch was with McD. Because still no electricity at home I went to Nong Khai for another Geocache but couldn’t find that one, so back home.

For the virtual challenge I finished the “Valley of the Kings” (Egypt), “Wales Coastal Path”, “Elvis in Memphis”, the 3 km for the “Pacer 2026 medal”, the “Dinosaur Trail” (USA) and the “Mother’s Day 2026” challenge, the last one by cycling 56 km. I’ve started the first one of the 3 Viking challenges “Viking Invasions”, “Elvis on Tour” and “Atlantis”. I’m still busy with the “Appalachian Trail” (USA) and of course the year challenge “Conqueror 2026”.
