Like every year many Thai went back to their home village for New Year. For our family Both visited us and also his friend Preauw, Benz was really busy with his daily deliveries. Like every year we gave our neighbors, the co-workers of Siripron and family Dutch stroopwafels as a New Year gift. This year we bought the “normal” ones from “SweetChew” in Bangkok and Siripron also gave them as a goodbye gift to a colleague.

New Year, Blessing, Immigration and more…
Like every year many Thai went back to their home village for New Year.
On 2 December was a blessing of the house of Warunee and Siripron was there a few days for preparing, helping and cleaning-up. I was there only in the morning during the praying of the monks and the breakfast for the visting people. Warunee did this extra blessing of the house because she wanted a positive start of the new year.
This year my permanent Visa took a little longer than before. On 19 January I went to Immigration at Sakon Nakhon because my temporary stay was finished and I’ve got my permanent Visa extent of 1 year. At Tops in the Robinson shopping mall I bought some small tomatoes and 3 boxes of cherries, 1 box I brought to Immigration.
On Saturday 24 January we went to the “Snake Temple” (Kham Chanot) on about 35 km from our home. In the year before Covid we went there 2 times a year but after Covid we never went again, so it was time. On this morning it was not busy at all and after buying some lottery tickets we drove back home. Lunch was at a BBQ shop in Ban Dung.
For the virtual activities I was Ambassador for the “Valley of the Kings” challenge in Egypt and I could use my old photos from the 2 holidays we had there. I’m not finished with this one but the German Fairytale Route and Fiji challenge were done.
Other things that happened:
– Lawn mowing during the winter is more getting dust and leaves.
– I’ve helped Jan & Supana with their Android TV box.
– For my e-bike the “old” battery was repaired in Bangkok and I have to test it.
– Lunch and shopping at the German Restaurant in Kham Ta Kla.
– We had the complete rice field plowed (he saved the few small trees).
– Siripron started her early Wednesday mornings at her work.
– In January almost every morning started cold but the max. was around 29.
