Weather, Honda, Jan 80 and more…

September was also a month with a lot of rain, a few already sized down storms where passing Thailand and they hit us too. I think this is one of the heaviest raining seasons during my stay in Thailand. We were lucky that the rice field didn’t suffer too much and the lowest part is almost every year flooded. The end of the month storm Bualoi was nearby and was decisive for our weather (heavy rain & wind).

Because Siripron had a very busy month at her work she took 2 days off and on the first morning we went to Honda for maintenance of our Honda WR-V. The car is now 2 years old, so we bought the extended maintenance packet they offered. The rest of the time Siripron used to rest a little and to work in our garden.

On Saturday 20 September we went for a “Farang” lunch to Sawang Daen Din. We were invited by Jan for his (the next day) 80th Birthday. On the menu were steak with pepper sauce, French fries and a salad. It was a great “get to gather” with also, Penny & Christian, Luc and of course Supana. We had to hurry to do our normal Saturday afternoon shopping at the market east of Sawang.

For Government September is the retirement party month because employees who became 60 will retire at 1 October. Siripron had a farewell dinner for all the annamais of the district Sawang Daen Din. Sister-in-law Teil, wife of Arun will retire from the Hospital in Sawang Daen Din and had a dinner in there and in Sakon Nakhon.

I am of course still busy with my challenges (steps/walking and cycling). On my converted bike I tend to do more kilometers because I am a little faster but still want to get the same (or more) activity time. For the “none Lego” I finished “The Shire” (Bilbo’s Birthday) en for now it was the last one…

Other things that happened:
– I went 2 time to Kham Ta Kla for lunch, bread & sausages.
– Because of repairs I went to Global House to buy some things.
– Mowing the lawn is still difficult because of the rain.
– Because Fern now use the motorbike of Benz we helped her to pay the tax.
