Cycling, Benz, rice field and more…

After 1 month of cycling with pedal assist, I can say that the bike does everything I hopped for. Going uphill and with wind against me it makes it so easy that my speed is not dropping down too much. But for me it is not about speed, but the main reason was that I want to do the same cycling distances with a little less effort. I still have the feeling that I have to do the cycling and not depending on a motor !!! I have read that the e-bike support is about 13%. As a test I biked one time 50 km.

This month Benz got the message that his Visa for Taiwan was ready, so he had to got to Bangkok again on 12 Augustus for a check. A few days later the Agent called again for the last meeting in Bangkok but after checking it had to be 2 days earlier. So, on 19 August we have a goodbye & Goof luck dinner for Benz. 1 Day later we brought him to Sawang Daen Din where he got the night bus to Bangkok. After 2 days with the Office and 1 day with nephew Tanakrit, Benz went on 24 August to Taiwan. In Taiwan Benz is working with a, for him, new factory which was his choice when he applied.

Siripron was this month at least every Sunday on her rice field. With some help of her brother Arun, she removed grass and closed holes in the small dikes that were made by crabs. She also wants to re-plant some rice plants on the low part. There was in August enough rain, some days with many rain thanks to the nearby heavy storms.

I am of course still busy with my challenges (steps/walking and cycling). For the none-Lego sets I finished the PAC-MAN Arcade and a second, but now complete, Typewriter. The first (incomplete) Typewrite is now taken apart and all the parts are now in my “spare parts box”. I have started building “The Shire” (a part of The Hobbit village).

Other things that happened:
– I tried to re-activate the Fuzzy red bike with the rest parts of the now E-bike.
– We now monthly pay brother Arun for his assist on the rice field.
– Our septic tanks were cleaned again, too much water in them.
– Arun fixed a closing clip on our gate.
– 12 August was Mamma Day in Thailand (Birthday of former Queen Sirikit).
– Siripron had to correct the right size of the rice field with Government.
– I did my 90-Days report for Immigration by the Internet.
– My UPS had to be replaced, the old one didn’t switch to the battery.
